I always wanted Hobgoblin. His headsculpt was dead-on the original Romita Jr. Hobby design.

Worst thing about Secret Wars, no Green Goblin. Best thing about Secret Wars, they made The Falcon! Though I never could find him or Hobgoblin when they were on the shelves. Was a major bummer.

It's also not correct, Toybiz had lost the DC license when they got into bed with Marvel. It looked that way on toy store shelves but the they never actively marketed the two lines together.

I love this line, if for anything just for the spiderman and his villians. As a kid I looked and looked for the red and blue spiderman ... never did find him, small towns suck when it comes to trying to find the cool figures on the pegs LOL.

I was just getting into vintage toys when this line came out, it was one of the first modern toy lines that collectors were getting into. I remember talking to another collector who thought it was lame that people were buying new toys off the shelves and depriving kids of them.

    And then the 90s happened...

Got a letter printed in HUlk begging for a Hulk when i was a kid. ( Byrne Marriage issue)
I didntg like the rub off paint, the red spidey paint scheme, caps missing ears, everybody missing capes.

i "fixed " my Cap shield by coloring a paper insert.

Iron man is the best Iron man ever done.( sculpt wise)

Daredevils face paint fades away. Iron mans uni beam

PLEASE don't misunderstand me here . Not a perv, just sharing a childhood thought. I was confused the Magneto , Cap body had a "buldge" No other figure I had ever did.

The cool guys came out later. I had a Baron Zemo , but never scored a Hobgoblin. THAT is teh Hobgoblin, my favorite villian as a kid. only guy with a cape. No bag though right?

A lot of old Drug Store Peg Toys came out. Finally had a Spiderman Suction Cup web shooter ! Cap 3-D puzzle . . .etc.

And teh comic line introduced me to the big Marvel Universe. I was intimidated ( Like I still am by X Men) by so many characters to figure out.

I picked up the black suit Spidey from that series because it was something of a novelty. If memory serves, he was the first black suit depiction made. Still have it and the card.

This line was awesome...very basic figures, and it worked well. The comic story was good and still holds up well.

i was So happy to get a DD figure...and the Black Spidey figure is still one of the best marvel figures ever, if only he stood up a bit better.
The vehicles and doom base were pretty lame.

Anyone remeber the cheese ball mail away 6 figure case? No one seems to, but I have one...as soon as I figure out how to post pics on this thread, i will post one!

He only SEEMED to, he was just time travelling to the future pegs looking to see if they outlasted the super-powers line....
