This cool shot of a Peter Pan store display from 1978 shows that they're still marketing TV faves like Space:1999 long after the series was gone from the airwaves.
That's really cool! I would love to have that to display my Power/Peter Pan records on!

I'm not sure, but I probably bought my first Power Records album from a display like that. It's the Batman one where him and Robin are running on the Gotham Shore (no jokes folks). I got it at a local grocery from some kind of display/dumb like this. But I can't recall any graphics on it.
I honestly don't remember power record displays. I got many of mine from a record store but vividly remember the "Book and Record" sets being in the checkout aisles of our local S.S. Kresge store.

I always bought my book & record sets from the grocery store a few blocks away, and the Ben Franklin nearby too, and they were almost always displayed in some kind of cardboard display such as this.
What is the deal with that generic looking Star Wars record? I had a Peter Pan record of "Frosty The Snowman" which featured international Christmas songs, and I'm pretty sure it was unlicensed by anyone involved in the Frosty song, storybook, and most definitely Rankin Bass. Were they pulling a fast one here on Lucas?
Oh and I just noticed that the Batman and Robin headshot on the display is from the back of the album I was talking about. And Superman is off my first PR Superman album too. I'd LOVE to have that display!!!

That is a movie theme record. Peter Pan offered some TV and movie theme song records. I have a few of them.
