Thanks david b, definately let you know what happens. As far as the landing gear go, I took toothpaste caps and taped them to the top of the stem of the landing pad and re-inserted into the side pod. If you check out my pics in the gallery, you will notice the Eagle stands at a decent height. I think MattelMike did the custom Mattel Hawk and used a Tonka race car driver as the new pilot. Im hoping to pick one of these up and check and see how easy it fits into the CM of the EAGLE. I have tried FP AP Race driver-just a tad too big, some effort to put him in the pilot seat. GI JOEs are bit too big even the ARAH ones, I did use a speed racer figure that is actually just about perfect and it has great articulation-bends knees and elbows and does fit into the FP AP ATV aka moon buggy.

Lovin that box in the background Wee67. Sorry MattelMike, Im responsible. I thought you were CollectinMike from Eagletransporter.com forum. He comes from the same area. He has made some amazing customs. So far I have seen the Rescue Eagle in the Mattel version and also a very cool MATTEL HAWK custom that you would love just as much as the Eagle 1--see my photos.

A kid at schol had one. I didnt know what it was til I was a teen. I've had one but it looks like one of the best spaceships for 3 3/4 figures ever.

I had one and it was pure heaven. I wish it would have survived the test of time. I also had the 3 large figures and the Moonbase Alpha control thing. I wish that would have been better. The graphics were nice clips from the show and a little bulb lite it up but so what?

It would have been great if the eagle figures were more articulate or the large figures had more to them.

Both a childhood friend and I each had one back in '76.
What fun we had landing our 'eagles' in vacant lots around our neighborhood.
                  Total blast!

My parents bought one for me at Thrifty's. It was waitin' for me at the check-out stand. You So. Cal. maniacs may remember Thrifty's for their killer ice-cream.
