I picked up a Terron years ago on eBay, and he still worked just fine. Slap some batteries in that bad boy and go chase the cat!

I had the Gor figure who ironically starred in many a Star Trek adventure as a Gorn like creature
        It's all good!

I think Super Joe was a very clever and cool looking toyline. It's a shame Hasbro has never revisted the concept. You think they could at least work some of the characters into the 3 3/4 inch GI JOE line. I mean they had no problem adding Matt Trakker from M.A.S.K.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Super JOe Darkon is my absolute grail piece.

I'll never find one intact, but I'd accept a re-strung one too as long as it's complete. MY friend had him and Gor. I had Luminos and The Shield. Very neat line of figures. I heard there was someone floating around the net that strings these. I might have to do some research.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

As a kid, my cousin had Super Joe and I fell in love with the Shield figure when I saw him in Simpson's. I still have my Shield figure though my cousin broke his shield arm off many years ago. I've since gotten some new figures and restrug them all myself. I have a few more to restring but need hands for them.

Here's a pic of my guys. Gor was a $2.00 flea market find a few years back. He doesn't light up but he's intact otherwise.

I really liked the idea of the light up power vests and the way the vest powered all the accessories that were available. I think Hasbro should have revisited that design for the Iron Man movie, and done a 9 figure with the power vest and accessory packs. I may make a custom Iron Man with this idea if I can find some Super Joe stuff.

That's a great looking bunch. I assume the Super Joe Commander is a custom paint job, and not some variant?

I was wondering about that myself. My Commander has black hair and a gold power vest.
And what are those hands from? Mine was restrung with Mego hands, but I don't recognize the hands on that one. Nice collection though.

I had a Joe piece from France that was the Superjoe vest for a 12" doll, I guess the Europeans realized it was a cool concept on it's own.

I had Gor - who I really loved as a toy - Terron and a token Supe Joe to go with him. (I've also still got that one figure for you, Brian!)

Don't these figures have a horrible problem with decaying rubber joints? Is there any fix available for that (other than tape & glue)?

Yeah, the joints and hands literally disintegrate over time. The only real fix is to replace the joints and hands. Much more difficult than simply restringing a Mego, but there are a few people out there who fix these (it ain't cheap though). Luckily, Gor is constructed differently from the rest, and he doesn't suffer from the problem.
