    They still make Wackey Packages!

I received a few Wackey Packages as a nice surprise from another member here, and as I noticed that they were new ones spoofing things like Harry Potter. I had no idea they were still making these!

I loved Wackey Packages as a kid and really wish I had kept mine. Have they been making new ones the entire time or did they recently start making them again?

I was recently reading about how many of the younger underground cartoonists at the time, like Art Speigelman, worked on the original run from the seventies/eighties.

Since about 2004 there have been 8 "All-new series" of Wacky Packages.
The last two were retro-style. I have collected each series even though they haven't been available here in Canada. Wacky Packages rock.

Ah! That would explain why I've never seen them then. Why do we Canadians always miss out on the cool stuff?

I guess I'll have to just sit here eating my smarties and watching Rocket Robin Hood!

        Crap! Crap! Crap!

I remember a kid brought some to school one day and I BEGGED my parents to bring me to the plaze where he said he got them (Weirdly I now live across the street from it ) and they were sold out. Everytime I drive by that store I think of those darn things. I never got them first hand as a kid, must correct the mistake.

I loved those things as a kid. Someone picked up some of the newer ones for my kids. I must have a sophomoric sense of humor because I still laugh at these things.

You're such an 80s baby, Anderson! (but we love ya!)

Yeah, I've gotten a few re-issues of Wacky Packages from comic shops Toy Stores and Betty's Attic Catalog. The newer ones have more ads on the back of the actual sticker cards, and some even have window clings. Pretty cool.

Have you even seen the Silly Supermarket Sticker cards from TSE? Kinda like Wacky Packages. I have 8 packs I haven't opened yet. Hmmm...maybe after cartoons tomorrow.

I have a modern awesomeWacky Packages school backpack. The mom I grabbed it from said it was too low brow for her kids.

Anybody interested PM me. Maybe we can work out something.

I've also seen wacky packages "stuffed animals" in big claw machines. My one and only gambling vice.

We used to BEG to go to the corner store whenever we visited my great-grandmother....quite frequently during summer days. Wacky Packages were a MUST HAVE whenever we went. The store had Ring Pops, candy bars, 10-cent comic, balsa-wood airplanes, strawberry crunch bars, dixie cup ice cream, candy cigarettes....etc. But we ALWAYS came back with Wackys

Y'know, my mom hated these things, and the first pack I bought, she told me not to buy any more. But then, Wonder Bread had them as a prize in the bag. YAY! I could be among the cool w/ these beauties on my notebook.

I really regret sticking mine to the back of the door in my room. We moved soon after. I was really hoping to take the door with me.

The coffee table book is very nice. I bought one for my ex-gf. If I recall correctly, it came with a few previously-unproduced Wacky Packages stickers as a bonus. I may have to order another for myself...
