he's gonna have olive green top and pants. Two pockets, as Ed said ^^, black boots, olive plastic hat, shoulder holster and service revolver.

He is the same. 70 on up is pretty easy. It is 1969 that is tough.

69 aren't they the ones with the with white t-shirts and blue or black pants and black shoulder hostler? Haven't started the painted head Joes yet as i'm still working on the AT Joes and i'm down to
            talking astronaut
            talking AA commander
            Bulletman
            intruder [which i'll skip over]

              haha
              I love the funky intruder.

yeah. 69 had some awesome cloth goods. They all looked like street thugs or mission spys. They ushered in the era of the AT, just didn't have the round tag yet.

are you doing boxed figures or all loose?

So far i've only manged to snag one boxed Joe a land adventurer
So i pretty much go after loose unless i spot a nice deal and just about all my Joes are hard hands only Mike Power and the action man Atomic Man are kung-fu grip i didn't intend it that way it's just the way i got em as i found em
I just don't like the intruder didn't like em as a kid either plus he seems hard to get as so far i've only seen two on E-BAY one in silver armor and one nude all most bid on the silver armored one but an adventurer poped up and i went after him instead

I just have to hand it to Hasbro.
The line is lagging and they are trying to spice it up. What do they do?
Add a superhero, a half-bionic man, and - hey! - let's give Joe an actual foe. How about some midget wrestling outerspace Neanderthals. That oughta do it.

Love 'em. But then again, I do have a soft spot for caveman toys.

As a kid Mike Power was one of my fav Joes follewed by the sea adventurer
but even as i kid i found it stupid that Mike only had one bionic leg
Never liked the intruder and i never got a Bulletman i seen him at the stores but could never could get one, Wonder if the action man Bulletman hold up better then the GI-JOE ones
With the hugh intrest in space toys thanks to star wars i think Joe would have went more sci-fi as they were heading that way when they came up with super-joe who was intruder sized come to think of it

Yes, they were in a quagmire alright.. The scale was proving too expensive for most folks in the recession to buy, Big Jim and Megos were garnering all the aisle excitement, along with 6 Million Dollar Man and other other toy tie-ins and gimmicks. So they were grasping at anything, even aliens, bionics and superheroes. As for villains, with the military foes like the Soviets and Cold War being downplayed here in the States, who else but aliens..??

My interest waned as well, the only two cool new vehicles back then were the Big Trapper and the MSV, both of which I thought about whether my Cape Crusaders would look cool in them if I stuck some Bat decals on 'em or something, or whether the Mattel Space 1999 figures would use them on some planet surface..

That ribbed white T shirt is the only item hasbro never made a repro for.
