    Finally got a Atari 2600!

I've wanted a 2600 for a long time and finally broke down and got one. There's lots of cool models to choose from like the heavy sixer and vader models, but I wanted a Jr. It's a nice compact little system and it's the one I wanted as a kid. I still remember going to Kaybee and seeing the Jrs for sale and a table full of marked down Atari 2600 games to go with it.

All original vintage Atari parts, box and instructions. It's pretty cool to find one still with the box and the box is not just the correct box for the model, it's also the exact box for this unit. The serial numbers match. The controller shows some use, but still really nice for the age. The unit itself is minty though.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I haven't hooked mine for a while, but its a blast! It really takes you back, even to the point that you swear you moved the joystick in that direction but your guy never moved

I plan on hitting the local used video game store this weekend. Hopefully I will get lucky.

I rebuilt one and loaded up on games about 15 years ago. Back then the games could be found in with the 8 Tracks at the thrift stores.

I had dozens of Games ( No SUperman, found that much later)

I went through played each Game solved teh Hard ones I remembered ( Raiders of the Lost Ark) Went nuts over the infuriating ones ( ET of Course)

Basically though even with nostalgia I just couldnt get into LaserBlast or Keystone Capers. I only played my favorite more than a few times, Asteroids.

You should check out Angry Video Game Nerd on You Tube. He reviews Porno games made back then and valuable unthought of Games like Texas Chainsaw and Halloween.

I think what Atari was most fun for was playing a game with somebody like Combat, Outlaw or River Raider.

They made some strange tie ins . Krull, Mash, Porkys.
