    Doctor Who Materializes in Plymouth

As cool as homemade Darth Vader's and mall Spider-Men are, you gotta love a vintage picture of a star signing in costume. That's why I pretty much exploded when Derek (the man responsible for this awesomeness) sent me this pic of 1975 era Tom Baker in full timelord regalia in Debenhams, Plymouth. I'm soooo jealous of that kid right now and I adore the home made Tardis behind him.

Check out Derek's awesome blog dedicated to Plymouth local histoy and stay tuned for much more coolness from him.

Send me your mall appearance photos!

The actors from 'Allo 'Allo sign in costume, too.

Always fun to see Herr Flick of the Gestapo with his fans!

Last year at F.A.C.T.S. the actors were in plain clothes, but they had someone sitting next to them in their Allo Allo costumes

I like that he is wearing a watch. Doesn't even look like he had a "handler" to run interference with the fans.
                      It's all good!

Tom and Jon pertwee revelled in thier fan interactions and never once was either of them rude or abrupt in the several times I met them. Jon and Tom always came in 'costume' (although sometimes Tom dropped the scarf) a real treat as a kid when other actors came in normal clothes. Jon always apeared as in his costume for who events right till his untimely death.
