Dug these out today. Like I've said in other posts, I was always more a comic guy than a toy guy. I first saw these characters in a couple issues of New Mutants in the early eighties. Through those books, I found out TA had their own very short lived series. I tracked those down in the 3 for $1 bins, read them, and that was that. About a year after, in one of those cosmic coincidences, my local Kiddie City had these on closeout dirt cheap. I never knew they were toys. I bought them because they were comic characters (and cheap), opened them and put them on a shelf. Years later I put them in bags and forgot about them, until I got into all this. I've since read that Ideal Toys made these to salvage their Evel Knieval toy line, after he crashed and burned. They appeared again as the Thunder Riders in the Thing series in the late eighties, but I don't think they've been seen since. Their names are Honcho, Lobo, RU Reddy, and Marauder.

I enjoyed the comic series, never knew they were toys until I found out here.

I recall really wanting the later Captain America riff on them.
