Monchhichi turned 51 this years
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Tags: None -

I remember that Monchichis cartoon theme song... but I'm surprised that "Up in the trees live the Monchichis" wasn't actually the jingle from the commercial.
The other thing I remember about them: my brother pointed out that the plastic thumbs could go in the mouth or it could stick it up its butt. So much like the "C.B. McCall pose", we kids found them both unintentionally hilarious. (We weren't the classiest bunch)Comment

The commercial jingle is very catchy.
I only remember putting their little pacifiers in their mouths. Real Monchhichis have little molded in pacifiers in their hands. I do remember there were some knock offs apes where you could put their fingers in the noses but that's about it.You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. This song will always make me think of April in 9th grade. She was one of the prettier girls in our class, the object of much male attention and she sat next to me in English. Even her name was cute. She used to sing the theme in this commercial all the time, knowing it would only exponentially magnify her own cuteness. I think it was that obvious that made me think it was shameful to try and bring so much attention to someone who was already getting it. I think I was more annoyed with myself that despite this obvious ploy, I still found her incredibly cute!WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment
