    Voyage Into Space

The ending would always wreck me as a kid. Still stings watching it now.

You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

That would have really depressed me as a child. Kind of surprising for a US dub for the time.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

It took a while to get over it, but I'm glad to say that last year I was finally able to watch it with a dry eye.

it seems a young Brian Carroll was also traumatized over this and it had a huge impact on his life as we see above!

Yes, this was very very sad to watch as a child. However, I was actually scared of Emperor Guillotine so I was glad he was gone. Too high a price to pay!

We were used to rough endings back then. Lots of sad endings to shows / movies.
