    Toy collecting confessions.

This is where we admit to some of the more oddball things we collect.

I'll start. I currently have six versions of the Candyland board game. My favorite is the 84 version.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Nice! Do you have a favorite? I have to admit, I also have multiple versions of Clue.

Probably the deluxe Master Detective, though I have a soft spot for the 1972 photo edition, which reminds me of the Murder on the Orient Express film and which was my introduction to the game.

I've never had the Master Detective Clue. I should really pick up a copy. I don't think there is a version of Clue I dislike. I am kind of fond of the poster art style of the 96 edition.

I am a fanatical collector of Digimon.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

My whole family collects some aspect of Disneyana, but I focus on the Haunted Mansion. There was very little merch for decades, but in the past 10 years or so, there's been a glut, so I've become pretty selective.

I'm not suggesting that Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars are an odd thing to collect, but I am oddly specific about only collecting Land Rover vehicles from either of those brands.

I have a Pokey figure that was given to me by Slash. (Yes, the guitar player from Guns N' Roses.) My daughter was hanging out with him and he found it on the ground. She told him that I collect Gumby stuff, so he gave it to her to give to me. Isn't my daughter the coolest?

Haunted Mansion was my favorite Disney ride. As a young kid circa 1978-80, my family took a trip to Disney World, and my parents, knowing that I was artistic, paid for me to join a special 'young artists' tour of then-under-construction EPCOT and a behind-the-scenes tour of several attractions. We went behind the scenes of the Haunted Mansion and were showed how some of the spectral effects were achieved with creative lighting of cheap plastic staff raincoats placed over selected animatronic models. So simple and yet so effective and amazing. I've never forgotten it.

Decades later, I went to EuroDisney and was fascinated that there, the Haunted Mansion had a 'wild west' theme.....

Yes, Phantom Manor! I want to go there sometime. The narration by Vincent Price has been restored recently! So cool you got to take a tour of the WDW Haunted Mansion. That's another dream of mine!

I'm not really digging the current 2023 version of Clue. It just too American hipster for my tastes. I think you can modernize Clue too much like with the Clue Discover the secrets version from 2008 where they made Colonel Mustard into a football player. It just ruins the uniquely British flair of the game and the modern, at the time, setting gets dated very quickly.
