    Adventure People- Lassie?

Growing up in the 70's on the weekend we would watch reruns. One included Lassie. I was very young and lived with a big yard so my parents would get this action figure bundles to keep me active "outside". Not knowing the difference, I thought I was playing with Lassie playset. There were times Lassie would team up with Mego Pocket Heroes Batman and Robin to stop crimes in Gotham Park.

307_wildernesspatrol_set.jpg Description: This 10-piece sets includes 3 figures, 1 dog, 3 vehicles, 2 sleeping bags and a rope with hooks. The figures are: man with red shirt, beard and black pants; man with orange hat with earphones, brown shirt and blue pants, and male ranger in green with a tan hat. The green ranger had 2 variations - one had a smoother shirt and brown hat, and one had a tan hat, rounder face and ridges on his shirt (more common; shown in the photo). The dog is a brown and white collie (also sold in a Fisher-Price Dollhouse Decorators Set). The sleeping bags are usually tan but blue was also possible. Also had a yellow plane, green ATV vehicle and pontoon boat. Rope with hooks were usually yellow and black but could be other colors like red.

    (Not my toys)

Going through some boxes of old action figures, a walk down memory lane, I discovered a few of my Adventures People. Those vehicles were made to last. Over the years my memories began to fold together, and I forgot that this was a different set of figures. My brother and I would either include them into the Pocket Heroes, Star Wars or G.I. Joe.

After doing some research there is a reason, I thought this was Lassie. In the original series Lassie 3rd soft reboot had Lassie working with Rangers and there was a Lassie cartoon series that followed more ranger episodes. So, Adventure People did a bootleg version of Lassie's Rescue Rangers.

Oddly enough, the Sea Sled set was marketed as a "Flipper" set in some wishbooks, even though I don't think FP meant it intentionally.
