This is the one I remember from the 60's.

I loved it, put the cube on the grill and watch it unfold.
when you were done put it in the vault, and squezze it back into a cube.

there was also "wiggley weirdies or Dr. Weirdies that was a creepycrawler/thingmaker rip off that also came out in the 70's
