    Toys Gone Wild! (Torrance Edition)

We ended up in Torrance over the weekend and after a nice lunch, we walked around and stumbled upon Street Faire Antiques. What a fun place!

    Nabbed the Corgi Klingon Cruiser!

My find in "The Wild" filled in that bare spot perfectly!

JG!! Thank you, Man!! I PINE for going back to LA and doing the rounds!!!

Let me ask you have you been to FRANK & SONS??? If so how is it??? Golden age books???? Vintage toys???

ANd have you been to the LA COMIC CON??

Having you been around when they used to have that Sunday show at the SHRINE AUDITORIUM (I think it was called: LA SCI-FI COMIC SHOW), I used to check that out when ever I was in LA, and now I am thinking of TIME TUNNEL (Or was it TIME TRAVELLER) in CULVER CITYoff Venice Blvd!?!?? MY memory is a bit shot, sorry.

There used to be a shop on the 3rd Street Prominade in Santa Monica that specialized in Animation CELS! I remember going in there from 1993-1999 ( I think??)

And there was or IS one on Ventura Blvd??? Not sure if its still there. I was there one but I can't REMEMBER WHEN! I know cause i BOUGHT some CEL's there!!!

I miss LA, but NOT the 405 or the 5 or the 110 or the 101!! HAHAHAHA!

    The RAINBOW BAR & GRILL

    BARNEY"S BEANERY

    the WHISKY AGOGO!

    Walking down Hollywood Blvd.

Going to AMOBA Music off Sunset.

And GEOFFREY'S Comics not in Redondo, but a bit further south.

I know CAL WORTHINGTON has been dead for a while now, but is WORTHINGTON AUTO still in business???

I remember the tv commercials, ( GO SEE CAL, GO SEE CAL,GO SEE CAL....)

    I envy you, JB!!

Oh now that is a selection worth leaving the house for.

I would have bought that Icarus and Galaxy Runner, I want to grab them out of the screen.

Time Traveler. Brother, that was the absolute greatest vintage toy store I've ever been to!

JB! I only found out about Time Traveller thru that one Sci-Fi NEWS show that was on Sunday mornings, back when the SYFY channel was Kool and actually called: SCI-FI! They did a feature on the shop and yes, it was a killer shop! Ailes and Ailes of toys.

Either one my 2nd or 3rd visit, there was these two punters in there and the cashier was chatting them up. Another punter with a action figure came up to one of the two and asked the small red headed one of the could autograph the figure for his wife

He did so and wrote. "PATTY, PLAY WITH ME.". The recipient was delighted, he joked that his wife was gonna cook for him for a month!!! Hahaha.

I later asked the cashier who that was

"That was SETH GREEN". He said. Now, at that time I had no idea who he was, what shows he appeared on or what. To me he seemed like a Bill Mumy Clone!?!!!!

I guess it all made sense eventually.

                What a great shop.

It's a fun movie, but it's the ships that really stand out for me; and Popy did a tremendous job with them.
