vending machines and local drugstore..

I was big on the bouncy balls, the NFL helmets and the rubber monsters, those were what I would mainly spend my .25 cents on when I got the chance

My small neighborhood had several dime/drugstores, a Ben Franklin, Osco, Perry drugs, Dekovens, Walgreens....so I wound up getting quite a few vending machine toys and rack toys. I absolutely ADORE the carded rack toys like the Marvel and Apes parachutists, and the Fleetwood toys like Ghost Rider. Been so tempted to start seriously collecting that stuff, along with the vending toys like the helmets, but thankfully so far I've managed to hold off!

Saw something today at Publix that would have sold like crazy back then. Fake mustaches. But the kicker is? The guys in the drawing with the fake mustaches look like The Village People.
