    1974 HG Toys Puzzle Catalog

HG Toys was one of the bigger producers of licensed products in the 1970s and this great puzzle catalog from 1974 proves this. Almost every popular television show or character from that time is present, including Evel Knievel, Star Trek, the Marvel Superheroes, Planet of the Apes, Happy Days and much more.

Check out the 1974 HG Toys Puzzle Catalog

Also, if you haven't already check out the previously posted 1979 HG Toys Catalog for Godzilla, Alien, Superheroes, Barbapappas, Vegas, Love Boat and a lot more:

I wonder if that Ape puzzle with the Soldiers was ever produced?
I have never seen that one.

They call Captain Kirk, Captain Cook and Sulu, Zulu!

I had many of the animated style HG Trek puzzles. Mr. Spock's skin was colored lime green.

I have that Space Wars playset. As a kid I hated the small size of the figures (about an inch high) and used the set mainly with 3 3/4" action figures, or the Timm Mee Toys space figures that were about 2" tall (and in scale with the mini Battlestar Galactica figures who also inhabited that space port from time to time!)

That Godzilla playset looks awesome. I also like that Batman chalkboard

If this was a knock-off I could understand, but this is a licensed product, how did they get that wrong? Mistakingly changing Sulu into Zulu I could still understand, but Cook in stead of Kirk? Who doesn't know Kirk, especially then... Man, that is a huge screw up

Wow, I had no idea Happy Days merchandise hit before Fonzie started wearing his leather jacket. I didn't even know he was popular before the leather jacket change!

Awesome stuff! I was never much for puzzles, but man, I love licsensing in the 70s! Great chalkboards, though.
