    Let me know

Mr. Spock: "I am not aware of anyone who fits that description, Captain"

I am still so amazed at just how much bigger the T-Rex model is over the rest of the Aurora dino models:

How? Why? How can anyone keep the boxes of their toys? I don't get it, but that's so awesome!! Very cool collection you have.

Really nice. I loved the Tiger and the Tar Pit. Moebius models makes reissues of the Aurora Monster Scenes models with retro box art. Maybe they will do the PS as well someday.

A couple of years ago Moebius was going to start making repro Prehistoric Scenes kits. There was a preorder available on most modeling websites, but apparently there wasn't enough interest in the first kit (Jungle Swamp) and it got cancelled.

As most know, Revell now sells a few of these kits, but not in repro boxes. They can be found in most model kit stores.

                    WOW !!!
What an amazing collection ! I had a few of these as a kid, but most of them bit the dust in battles against Megos and GI joe adventure Team guys.
Do you own the miniature set of these the issued about 10 or so years ago ? In one small box they had Allosaurus, Dimetrodon, Pteranodon, Triceratops, and I think, the Styracosaurus as well, They were prepainted, and around 2" tall when assembled.
Plus they had all the same moving parts as the originals, it's like they actually shrunk the original kits.
                    Chris

                    Keepin' it Mego-ey !

Actually, it was 16 years ago that those came out.

Aurora Prehistoric Scenes Models - Mini Dinosaurs

Luckily around 2001 I found someone who had a local TRU that still had them hanging on the pegs. And he got a set of them for me.
Because these go for stupid money when they turn up on ebay.
                      $12-25 each usually.
Which is more than what you can find the full sized reissues for.

Sadly I have not yet been able to obtain the mini dino versions. But as we all know the hunt is at least half the fun

When I looked Sunday, they were all listed on ebay.
With shipping, I think they were about $10 each.

I really like your color schemes on the trike and the rex.
Nice clean jobs with color selections not used a ton by others.
                              They both work very well.

Your paint jobs on these are really outstanding and it truly brings them to life. I also love the fact that Aurora still kind of gave them a "monster-ish" look rather than the generic politically correct Smithsonian dino appearance that most of all models and toys have nowadays
