Kids today going as Yoda have authentic Jedi robes. We had smelly, brittle vinyl.
My son said a friend of his came to school as Mickey Mouse dressed as a pirate. Almost all the other 2nd graders laughed at him. Kind of sad, but I think even when I was a kid you would have gotten brained for dressing as Mickey past kindergarten.
