Yes. You get a figure every year so you should get the Affrican American COmmander if you join now. I'm wanting him in a bad way myself but haven't managed to get mu subscription yet. I collect AT so I can answer questions but I also have some links to check out.

http://www.nyaj.com/ (Lots of pix and info)

Welcome to Craig Blankenship's - ClubHair for GI Joe

GI Joe - The New Adventure Team (great stuff here)

http://fuzzheadquarters.yuku.com/(Lots of fun, cool stuff here)

There's also a Yahoo group. ATHQ.

          That should get you started!

Wasn't he the 2009 figure? Proably to late to join and get him for free if i join now i'll proably get the 2010 figure i would think, But i believe you just get the basic figure for free the outfit gear and box you need to buy at least that is how it reads to me thanks for the info on the websites i'll be checking them out

You may be right. It was the figure the last time I checked the site but it may have changed by now. Correct, you get the basic figure then you can buy the uni and box.

And he did a bunch of Doctor Who stories with GI JOE stuff.

Here's a link to an index on his site (kind of hard to find).

His stuff is not very well organized or updated much these days, but just click around. There is some cool stuff in there. I used to spend hours reading his photo stories and admiring his talent for fabricating and customizing. This was well before I discovered The Museum, so it was my toy fix for a long time.

Was just checking the website and sadly you had to be an officer level member berfore march 15,2009 in order to recieve the affician amercian Joe for free but with membership you can still buy one at a decent price i think it was like 22 buck for the figure, I want the 08 figure he looks pretty cool

Yes, you had to have your membership dues in before March 15 for the talking AA commander. However, there will be something good next go around, I am sure. They also typically have a sale in March and you can get some great deals at the officer level at that time.

I bet it will be an air adventurer [blond haired guy] as they all ready did a take on the rest, The black beard guy was first then the sea adventurer was the artic guy the man of action was the asian guy in 08 and last year was the AA turn unless they do a bullet man which would be very cool or an atomic man with fuzzy hair

That Action Joe site also has some good coverage of the other international Joes as well.
It's the bees knees! Also look at this Action Team Germany
