they were advertised that you could pull them apart and "mangle" them and then stick them back together like new, but as you noticed in the picture, they never quite looked the same:: )
I remember those! They weren't around too long though. I had the demon one, and yeah; they never quite went back together right. Neat idea, but the technology didn't quite work.
man I remenber they got Horse **** from the comsumer & groups, that there was product misrepresentation and misleading
I remenber NEWS show had a segment on what a piece of junk they were.
I had Manglor Mountain. I think the the tag line was something like "Squish them, stretch them, tear them apart and the come back for more." The only problem was if you actually tore them apart, that was really pretty much it for the toy.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
Wow, I'm glad you guys remember these. Ironically enough I believe the Swamp Thing movie came out around this time, and the main Manglor looks suspiciously similar to Swamp Thing.
Incredible box art though eh? I wonder if it's the same artist as did the card art for the Mego Micronauts. Similar style.

The key word in the commercial was "ALMOST" like new. I guess a ripped off arm stuck loosely together qualifies to them as close enough to new to say it's ALMOST like new.
wow i so remember being ticked off cause they tell you you can break it and it will look as good as new. You can't tell a kid he can break a toy and it will be fine, at least you can't tell a boy that.
Had the main guy and the mountain, I remember tearing his arm off and being so disappointed in the way it supposedly went back together. I seem to remember them being on clearance pretty cheap when I got them.
