    Faceballs from Amsco

Did these ever see release? This ad is the first time I've heard of them but it seemed that Amsco was about ten years ahead of the Madballs trend. Not only do you get Superheroes and Monsters but Planet of the Apes as well. The cards for these are fantastic, if anybody knows if they existed, drop a comment!

Strange those seem vaguely familiar to me. I think I may have had one that was handed down. I mostly had the Madballs by Amtoy though.

Raggedy Ann got her face on everything back in the 70's

Hard to imagine a crap doll could be that popular.

Those are cool, and do seem way ahead of their time. They seem "80s" to me, probably because of Madballs.

What year is this from? When I saw the title of the thread, I went to the 80's.

                      Raggedy Ann a crap doll!?

I happen to be a Raggedyphile, sirrah.

I used to get a crisp, clean new Raggedy Ann and Andy every year for my birthday.

In some ways, she was more my favorite than any of the Supergals; mostly because she was a doll that could be cuddled, stood up to machine washing with a smile on her face, and was easily squished into an overnight bag for a weekend at my Dad's.

You of course, are perfectly entitled to your opinion, just as I am entitled to mine.

She's been around for more than 85 years bub, and has withstood the test of time, trends and fads galore.

                      LONG LIVE THE RAGGEDY TWINS!

And those faceballs are seriously messed up. I used to want to get one with my teacher's face on it so I could bounce it off the wall.

If you ever read "The Demonologist" (I forget the author....) you won't be.

Tell it, sistah! I had a Raggedy Andy doll, and I had/have a Janex Raggedy Ann and Andy Talking Alarm clock. And I couldn't wait to see the movie when it came out in the late 70s.
