I have an Intellivision II. I also have an "Intell-a-voice" for one of the games so it can talk. It's in a box in the garage. I do like my Atari better, b/c I don't mind primitive graphics and I like using a joystick as opposed to pushing buttons.

I'm with you 100% on that one. I still have a working Atari 2600 and enjoy those games way better than any of the recent games that I've seen.

Intellivision Baseball was the first chink in Atari's armour, IMHO. I am stupidly loyal and I loved Atari. In fact, I still have one today. However, when the set up an Intellivision display at a local dept store, my friends and I spent hours in there playing baseball. It was unquestionably better than Atari's sports games. Now, we didn't stop enjoying Atari, but it was a sign time's never-relenting partner, change.

As an Atari owner, I hated George Plimpton's condescending well educated guts as a kid.

Secretly I loved going to my friend's house and playing his Intellivision but it came at the price of hearing a lecture of it's superiority over Atari, you've haven't lived until you've heard a 12 year old do that accent.

Oh man I still enjoy my Atari 2600 to this day too ! Every once in awhile I break it out and relive some classics. I will enjoy that system until all the wires and circuiting has fried themselves out !

I've never cared about sports games, so I was perfectly happy with my Atari 2600 and never wanted an Intellivision. But when Colecovision came out, damn I wanted that thing. Their version of Donkey Kong made Atari's version look like total crap.
