    Bee Gees Fever ---Catch It!

I remember the Bee Gees were popular but wow, I don't remember this much (or frankly any) merchandise out there as a kid. Then again, I doubt I ventured from the Star Wars aisle at all past 1978.

That stuff is from Vainty Faire toys. The record cases, radio, and keyboard were available w/ Shaun Cassidy too.

I always hated the fact they gave up that classic logo. I thought it was right up there with Led Zepplin and KISS as the coolest logo in the 70's. I think it would have been fine to carry it forward after that decade.

I don't remember too much of the Bee Gees merchandise either, and it's something I can't say I've ever really seen out there for sale either. Guess they missed out on a line of Mego figures for them. Being able to act out "The Barry Gibb Talk Show" would be fun, or at least have Robin Gibb take on the Hulk or Maurice Gibb vs. John-Boy Walton (to the death!)

I'd say they dropped it since they were the #1 target for the Disco Backlash in the 80s.

It is a cool, distinctive logo, though.

I collect Bee Gees/Andy Gibb and Shaun Cassidy Toys and it was amazing how many different toys were made around this time, some of this stuff is near impossible to find! I've never seen that Radio with Shaun Cassidy on it,that would be an amazing find for me if i could ever find one! I thought I owned every Shaun toy there was!

Never saw that stuff but doubt I would've wanted any of it. I did like the Bee Gees but probably not enough to want merchandise.

Funny- in the 70s I couldn't have cared less about the BeeGees because I was a Star Wars-obsessed kid. Now I love BeeGees music because it reminds me of the 70s and vintage Star Wars toys. Go figure.

I'm really surprised that so many people on here like the Bee Gees. Not that I hate them or anything, they're just one of those groups that I'm used to people bashing. A lot of people don't realize that they kept writing hits in the 80s, they were just performed by other artists.
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

I wonder how many kids hit each other in the junk to try to sing like The Bee Gees?

There was a time when admitting you liked the Bee Gees or ABBA could get you stoned to death. My older sister listened to both in her tween years, and so I've always had an appreciation for both of them. Not a huge fan, but I won't change the station if they come on.

Back in the 70's I was into Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin etc.

I also secretly liked the Bee Gee's, ABBA, and disco but could never admit it to anyone at the time

Today it's "cool" to like them -- at least for nostalgia's sake
