    Alien 79 toys etc questions.

Okay Im wondering about the rack toys, does anyone ever see these come up, and what are they going for when they do?
    Ditto the movie viewer.
Were the rack toys and movie viewer pulled too?
I am about to get a sealed set of the trading cards from someone here.
The Alien egg puzzles, how many different ones were made? Or was it just the alien creature one that I see all the time?
And finally, the boxed puzzles, anyone know what they go for?
    thanks,
    trey

Not sure what you mean by that, but I own the movie viewer so it does exist

      ^^

I think livingdead is wondering if the other Alien toys, like the viewer, were pulled off the shelves in the same way the big chap Alien doll was.
If they weren't, they surely languished on the shelves as there was not a lot of interest in kids toys supporting an R rated movie. At least not until we got a little older and then it was too late.

I had no idea they pulled the doll. I still own two of them. I cannot recall for the life of me if I remember seeing the vewer on the store shelves that often. Hmm actually when I think about it I do not recall seeing any of the Alien items in stores with the exception of the doll and the viewer

          Thats what I meant sorry...........
I can recall seeing the doll in stores, and I can recall seeing the trading cards etc..... model kit in our Playland toy store in the mall.
Rack toys I never knew of till I saw it on Plaidstallions.
So any figures on what these things go for?

I remember at the time, the kid across the street and I both wanted the Alien figure. We saw him in one of the catalogs (Service Merchandise maybe?) but we never found him in the stores. Or maybe the kid across the street did find him in the store once, but he was too expensive. I don't remember if we had seen the movie or not, but it really didn't matter. Even as kids, we knew how cool that figure was. Screw Darth Vader, when the Aliens show up, you know you're #UCKED! Imagine having that 18" figure guy attack your 8" Megos or your 3 3/4" Star Wars guys! Now THERE is a challenge for your favorite heroes! I remember hanging out at his house looking at the pictures in the catalog and imagining how cool it would be to have him fight with our figures. There were a couple of days where we were convinced that we couldn't have any fun with our toys until we had that Alien figure to attach them! Haha!
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

I remember seeing the Kenner Alien in a store but my parents would not let me have it...I remember where the store was (Panama City, Florida) but for the life of me I can not remember the name of the store.

                Hmmmm....

When I was a kid I got one of the big aliens at Zellers. They had TONS of them in the discount bin. This would have been around 1982 or so.
