5 pieces away from a "complete" SW vintage collection

    Almost there....almost there....

    Just need:
    Sonic control landspeeder
    Droid factory
Sears Cantina (but I have a blue Snaggletooth)
    Bespin Cloud City
    Jabba's Dungeon

No, I'm not going for a vinyl cape Jawa or rocket-firing Boba. I'm cool with the regular stuff...

And I'm not doing Droids, or "Ewok battle wagon", or any of that derivative crap...

One could argue that the sonic landspeeder is derivative.
All the lines tied in to each other up to the Droids/Ewoks release.
Droids is the only line that had the A-wing fighter and some may consider that canon not crap.

      You have a point there.
The A-wing should have been released in the regular line, really.

I'm still sticking with SW-ESB-Jedi releases....

        does that mean no POTF

Some good stuff there as well. The Tatoonie skiff comes to mind, as well as some major figures (and a couple of more ewoks).

some oddballs as well. I remember as a kid not really liking the mini-rigs, but I did have plenty of open-ended play with them that had nothing to do with the movies. Nowadays I really like them for that reason. I am still a big SW fan, but I do like a toy that lets you do things other than recreate movie scenes as still life. The body-rigs from the POTF line are just that sort of toy.

I picked up the Skiff re-issue, and I'm very happy with that one.
Again, it's a piece that should have been in the regular Jedi line.

And true: some of those mini-rigs are really "pushing the envelope" as far as being a part of the movie line-up. I wish they'd never made those...

So, do you have the POTF figures and no vehicles/accessories in your collection, or are you just drawing the line at RotJ? Did you even have POTF cards in Belgium, or were they all tri-logo after Jedi?

What you guys call "POTF", we just got here on Jedi cards.
So I have all figures (since childhood)...
But we never had the ones with coins, or Droids figures.

My only more recent purchase was the blue Snaggletooth (which was never released here in Europe).

Ok, so we got coins and you got YakFace.

good luck finding your pieces. And you do gotta draw the line somewhere with SW or it'll fill your house.

The droids line is pretty cool, maybe later on when you have nothing else to chase you'll get hooked on those

damn, I used to have several of the pieces you are looking for but I sold them on ebay a few years back....pretty cheap too...you should be able to get the droid factory and jabbas dungeon at a pretty reasonable cost....course the shipping to Europe may be too high...good luck completing

                        Pics, pics, pics....

That sounds like a pretty impressive achievement.

Whilst I have avoided the Droids and Ewoks line too I would really like to add the R2D2 and C3P0 figures from the Droids line to my collection.

Do you go in for the figure variations. It's a good way to keep your interest going. Trilogo Boba Fetts are my 'hunt' at the moment. I have two and am about to strike a deal on another later today.

Well, as somebody said, SW is too huge to "collect them all", at least for me.

If I have all figures (which I do), and the complete SW-ESB-Jedi line, I'm cool with that.
I once had a MIB Droids A-wing, but I needed money, so that went first.

I love SW, but I also collect Megos, Action Man, LOTR, Dragon Ball, SMDM, Fighting Furies, Lone Ranger, ST, Saint Seiya, Bond, Madelman, Galactica,...

                          Need I say more?
If I didn't have a flourishing trade in white slavery, I could never keep this up....

                          Here are some old pics.
I'll try to get some more recent ones.
                          Still tons more of stuff...
