    Zoids

I never fully realized how cool these toys were! I have a Robo Strux Radox (the big bird/dragon thing), and have been looking for information about it, which led me to learning about Zoids, which Robo Strux was basically a re-named version of. As a kid, I was drawn to the level of detail and size of the figures, plus they were fun to build and then would actually move around with the motorized bits. That also limited the playability, though, as it seemed to be fragile and not something I could take outside and not destroy! As an adult, though, I think they are fantastic, and make impressive toys to display and show off.

I've been pretty much only a GI Joe collector as of late, but I'm thinking of adding some of these. I think the whole concept is awesome. Anyone else a fan?

Zoids are awesome and have had many incarnations over the years. Thanks to the internet I was able to see just how many were in other countries and not over here (US). I would hate to be a hardcore zoids collector.

here are two zoids sites with pics for you, however I had a really good link with a ton of pics saved and I am trying to find it

      Nice! Thanks for those links.

Yeah, I know. I read that there are over 200 different molds, and then who knows how many variations on those!

I love the huge "Holy Grails" like Ultrasaurus and Gilvader, and the HHM (?) kits are pretty impressive. The detail is incredible, and some of the teeth/claws look dangerously sharp!

I've mulled over trying to complete the Robo Strux line. I've got one of the top figures already, which helps, but they don't seem to pop up much on eBay.

I still have the robostrux baddox (the giant ape). I also had (may still have) the brown rodan type of bird. I think I had the robotstrux smaller catapillar also
