    Birthday 1978: Shogun Godzilla!

My birthday in 1978, with my Shogun Warriors GODZILLA!!!

Also, some Star Wars stuff, an AMT Star Trek ship set, the TV set I grew up with (Gad, how did we watch stuff with screens like that?!?), and some horrible late 60s/early 70s carpeting!

As a child, I was the little kid from GODZILLA'S REVENGE...

Cool pic! I got my Godzilla for Christmas 1978. Always one of my favourite toys.

And that kind of TV really brings back memories. I don't know how we watched stuff on something like that either.

Great Pic! And Great Toy! I still have mine, Toes broke though! I just wished they would have made a Gamera Shogun warrior! Rodan was cool, never had him though. Thinking back, a kid at school said he saw the " Mecha King Kong Shogun warrior! For ages i asked around and believed that! Too bad it wasnt true! Sort of like the Flash mego rumors from the 70's!

Ooooo, a Gamera Shogun would have been epic. I would have loved that. I never had a Rodan either. But I remember the first time I saw one. I didn't even know of his existence, never saw him in commercials or in stores, but one time when I was visiting my cousin (I was around 12 years old) his friend came over with a Rodan. I was absolutely floored, I couldn't believe such a toy was even made. I desperately wanted one to go with my Godzilla, but never managed to get one. I still don't have one.

I love Godzilla and I still have that figure from the 70's in great shape. He guards my collector room.

I had a Rodan, too, but sold it around '92 to finance a trip to the west coast. Sigh....
