In elementary school, the Nerf Football (American) was the football of choice. We didn't like playing with a hard, stiff leather ball when a Nerf football was so much easier to catch and throw. The formed "laces" were always the first thing to go and by the time the ends started to come apart it was time to get a new one. PLUS you could take it in the pool. Blue and white for this Cowboys fan, please.
During the really slow times in my store, my employees and I still toss the Nerf Football.
It's going on 6 years old now and is mostly held together with electrical tape. All of the original coating is gone. It's just pure Nerf. Each catch explodes in a fine mist of yellow dust.
I had Nerf man as a kid, he was really cool. He flew pretty well.
My dad was clearing out his garage and found a box that had my Nerfman in it! He still flies! My boys had fun tossing him around.
I know I had the rocket launcher. I think I remember photos of me playing with that one at Christmas. I'm pretty sure I must have had a nerf football or two. At least I always remember those things being around as a kid. Maybe they belonged to other kids, but I totally remember them around.
