Gilbert Man from UNCLE/Bond id question

    Hiya folks,

Recently uncovered these fellows. Was wondering if anyone could tell me who the dark haired chap is. I know the blonde is from UNCLE, just can't place the dark haired fellow. I had assumed he is the other agent, but nope. Also wondering if anyone knows who the little guy is.

    thanks in advance

The one in the middle is Moon McDare,..part of the BOND/UNCLE/HONEY WEST/ ODD JOB/Figure set by the GILBERT TOY Corp. He was an astronaut that came with blue jumpsuit, black tall boots,..and space suit and accessories were sold separately including a dog named Space Mutt, with space suit too.

        Wow !!!

I never knew the David McCallum sculpt looked that good.

Did anyone ever shrink and cast it to Mego size ?

It's right, the black painted figure is Moon McDare, exactly this one:

The Gilbert action-figures of the late 60th have all the same body, only different heads.

A pity they wasted such well crafted head sculpts on such crummy bodies.

Anybody figured out who the little fellar is yet? I didnt even know Gilbert made figures like that in a smaller scale?

Not sure if the smaller fellow is Gilbert or not. Probably not.

Cool! I've been looking for Moon and Ilya figures for a while. There seem to be lots of incomplete figures around.

Understood. I imagine if he has any markings on him, they just say made in Hong Kong or something like that? I have to admit the head sculpt does look like...somebody? He doesnt appear to be just a generic sculpt. I just cant put my finger on who he is? I'm torn between David Jansen from the Fugitive, and a slightly better sculpted copy of the original Joe head?
I hate it when something like this pops up! I have to know who or what that figure is now!!!???

I think the Illya and Bond Gilberts had Karate action to them...usually snaps off into the blow mold body. Royal Pain in the arse to fix too.

Joe 90, this is yet another vintage knock-off thread in which you arrived long before me! ;-) This thread has solved a minor mystery for me. Way back in the 80s, a friend of mind received a gag gift, consisting of a 1/6 head with a hole in the top, through which projected a... well. a body part which one usually doesn't find on action figures. The face looked rather befuddled at his predicament, and I have long wondered where the head originally came from, because I was sure it hadn't been sculpted just for the idiotic gag! I now see that it was Moon McDare! I agree that the Gilbert headsculpts were far better than the bodies on which they appeared. Not only was the articulation terrible, the plastic used to make the bodies seems to be susceptible to becoming EXTREMELY brittle!
