    Atlantic Galaxy series

    Anybody remembers these?
They're Italian, from the early 70s, and had a retro Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers feel to them.

    I grew up with these.
They had robots and aliens (in all kinds of colours and configurations), ships and playsets.
Even thought the colour schemes were obviously picked by a guy on acid, I loved them.
A while back, I acquired a small collection (boxed), including a huge space station playset (the size of a kitchen table), with space domes, a ship and 8 boxed figures.

I've seen them a lot in the collector's circles but never as a kid.

      Man, I'm old...

Looking at the catalog on that Italian site, reminds me I still need a Hypnos and Sloggy....

I never saw these when I was growing up , but over the years I have seen these here and there. They always looked cool, but I never got the itch to collect them. Way cool though.

          Hmmmm....

I've seen tons of ads for them, but have never actually seen a figure. They kinda remind me of "Perry Rhodan."

Yeah, Perry Rhodan was very popular in Europe back then.

              >Perry Rhodan, smoking pot....

Is there a connection? Although having seen some pages from the Perry comic book I might think so....

I never saw or heard of this line, but would have lost my mind seeing them as a kid (though I did recognize grandizer)

As a side note, a German deli by me (US) in the 70's and early 80's used to carry Perry Rhodan and of course they were the German editions. The covers looked cool and I really wanted to read them

Atlantic made the HO scale military sets right? My Mattel Godzilla used to stomp the crap out of them.

Hi...I'm italian and when I was young I've owned almost all the figures of Atlantic Galaxy.
The movements and figure poseability are very ridicolous, they move only the arms up and down and they are figures composed by 4/5 pieces fix togheter:

I've loved the Zepthon figure, in green issue.
They have a low value in the vintage market and you can find informations here:
                      Atlantic Galaxy
Atlantic is the same company who builded the small soldiers.
On Ebay Italy you can find many items like this, or in this website:

neat figures. They do have a unique look to them.
                        It's all good!

Could you find me a Sloggy and Hypnos?

My Italian is non-existent, I'm afraid....

The Atlantic Toys ... a super great company.

These products were very popular in Belgium and Italy.

I had almost all the figures of the Galaxy series, but also the Egyptians and Romans in sizes 1 / 32 and 1 / 72 and many playset, including Goldorak and Albator

Unfortunately with time, it only remains for me none of these toys.
