    Where Else??

If Megos had NEVER existed and therefore, the Mego Museum had NEVER existed....

What Classic Toy (and much later Internet location) would have been your focus?

Where would you be right now instead???

Being a Captain Action and GI Joe Adventure Team fan, it's easy for me to answer...

With no 8" Mego Superhero fix, I would have become the founder of the Captain Action museum..... and a member in Good standing of the Adventure Team museum...

I'd be posting threads right now, complaining about the death of the CA line, the lack of additional superhero characters and maybe even the scandalous "theory" that if you just shrunk CA down a little bit, it might have increased playability back in the day .... hmmm......

    Who's next?

    No Mego.. no Museum.....

Which classic toy would have taken up the slack for you... which hypothetical site would YOU be posting at right now??

If not for MEGO'S i'd be big time into GI-JOE adventure team but the cost has kept me from diving in but i always keep an eye out for a nice MIKE POWER figure, So there's GI-JOE the Gabriel 10 inch LONE RANGER line JOHNNY WEST and the best of the west line and THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN line

The other toy line I focus on is the Six Million Dollar Man and Bionic Woman, so that's where I'd be!

Star Wars no doubt. Hopefully there would be a SW equivilant board-wise to the Museum. The one that' s out there now didn't retain my interest.

Circle X Ranch. I'm a member there, but theres a feud a brewing in West country over who actually owns Marx Toys, and its trademarks. I wont get into details, but those folks dont play nice, like we all do here. I find this distracting, and disrespectfull to Louis Marx, his great company, and my childhood friend Johnny West, so I try to stay out of the street until the shooting is done!

I do hang out at a couple of the other Johnny sites, but this situation is really poisoning the whole hobby right now. Hopefully it works itself out soon. I'll tell you one thing though, it really makes you appreciate the Museum even more. Even on its worst day this place is still fun to hang around!!

Yes, I know what you mean... I used to be a semi-regular there a couple of years ago... even helped to moderate a bit... but ultimately left there (and never looked back). Definitely some strong personalities there (and a lot of internal politics... not a nice place to visit any more).

I don't know if there's any other specific toy line that I feel so passionate about that I'd bother with becoming a regular member of any other forum. Fisher Price Little People/Adventure People perhaps?

Same here. When I was little I was never seen without a matchbox or hot wheel car in my hand, but going back and collecting that has no interest for me. I'll buy new ones for my kids to play with, but that's it. I wonder if there were no Megos if we would be sewing custom suits for GI Joe and Big Jim?
                            It's all good!

Probably Fisher Price Adventure people, I could see myself getting really hung up on those. I already am a dabbler in a few other lines, never intending to complete them, just get a few childhood favourites and be done with it.
