TV Memories: A Vintge Store Near Me

There's a vintage store near me called TV Memories. I swung by there and snapped a few pics of the place. WARNING: Lots of pictures. It would probably take about 100 more picture to really capture all that's there. There's stuff all over the place. I've been picking up things there over the years and have got some pretty good deals. He has games, toys, advertising stuff, records, glasses and most anything vintage. Just thought you guys might get a kick out of seeing some of the stuff there.

I actually thought the middle costume was a Michael Jackson one but it's a vampire.

WOW! Great pics.. a store, you say? It's full enough to be a (cluttered) museum!

You could wander around that place for quite a while...

    LOTS of old memories there!

Even the store itself is vintage... notice the ceiling and the moldings in the pics!

Hah. Crazy Cow cereal. Other than a few small things on the 'net proof that this did indeed exist. Cool store!

It's in the downtown area of Elizabethton, TN (about 20 miles from me). It's run by a kind of an old hippie type guy who really cool to hang out and talk with. He collects anything from Andy Griffith, Beverly Hillbillies to old cereal boxes and vintage fireworks so trades are welcome. At one time he owned pretty much the largest lunchbox collection in the south and finally sold it out to some exec at TV Land. The prices are pretty reasonable (nude Joker for $8) and he always welcomes an offer. There's no order to the place so you just have to browse around and he's always getting in stuff weekly. He has no telephone or website but he's been in business for a long time. I found it back in 2002.
