    1977 Denys Fisher Cyborg Catalog

"On a doom laden day 2250 the Trembling Earth came face to face with the holocaust! The pernicious plan of direful destruction launched by the MUTON- an alien master- from the death black reachs of space!"

In the mid seventies, UK Toy Maker (and the inventor of Spiro-Graph) Denys Fisher took a Japanese Toy called Henshin Cyborg (which was an off shoot of Captain Action and the father of the Micronauts) and transformed it into a compelling series of 9" figures.
The infusion of a western story line into Japanese toy creativity resulted in only thing, toy magic. The Denys Fisher Cyborg line may be the best toy that you've never heard of before. One word of caution, it may cause ebay searchs...
Thanks to Bill Frost, I also have a gallery of awesome boxed and carded Cyborg goodies to coincide with this.

I admit that since starting work on this, I've been trolling around Ebay looking for a nice boxed cyborg.

Has anyone ever tried the Subform outfits on a Mego?

Love these btw, Bill. The English kids got some really neat stuff.

There were reproductions of the original Japanese versions available a few years ago. What seems to make this line so special is the new design/concept for the characters and illustrations.

I've only bought some of the recent Japanese Henshin reissues. Someday I'd like to get some of both the original Henshins and the UK ones, but this line isn't easy or cheap to collect. They are great toys though, like big Micronauts you can dress up.

These are 8 inch figures and fit easily on Mego figures. Uniforms fit best on Mego figures without hands and feet.

The sub forms have cloth uniforms not the vinyl shown on packaging(12in Takara figure use vinyl for uniforms)
Great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well worth tracking down.

They reissued Muton in 8in scale in Japan in yellow, blue, and green about 9/10 years back The Muton/King Walder reissues aren't cheep and run $75-150 range depending on set
