Rookies Clothing Sets

I was just hanging around at Wishbook.com and I saw some interesting things I'm sure you've all seen/discussed before. One of these things was the clothing sets for the Rookies characters in, I believe, a Ward's catalog. Anyhoo, I checked Mego-like but it made no mention of these sets and I was wondering if anybody here owned them or had pics to share.
On a separate note, there were some pics I don't recall of Starsky & Hutch in different clothing than I've seen elsewhere. How did they finally come up with the stuff they did put on them I wonder?

S&H were pictured in at least 3 different outfits for catalog shoots, I don't know how they eventually defined that look however. I've watched a bunch of episodes, never seen that outfit.

I think in S&H's case they might have taken the cheapest/least complicated route.
So were those Rookies outfits ever released? If they got all the way to the catalog, they must have been available for order, no?
