    The Wonderful World of Blythe

It's amazing how this very Mod little doll was virtually unknown until 25 years after she was cancelled when it became a pop culture phenom thanks to the photography of Gina Garan. This is the Kenner catalog from 1972 and Blythe only gets a single page (click on it for a larger view) now she's a full blown icon.
Google the Blythe story one of these days, it's a good read.

I love Blythe. In another life I'd be a hipster chick who collects Blythe.

Scan from my box of 30 postcards from Gina Garan on Flickr - Photo Sharing!

The photo book he mentions is really great toy photography. These things are very expressive.

I have a bit of a secret collection that I don't normally mention.
I collect "big eye" art of the 60's/70's, Blyth, uber-cutsey kittys and puppys and bunnys(especially if they are pink or purple or green etc), sad eyed dogs and cats, assorted cool looking dolls, vintage 50's-ish kids toys, blow molded anything etc etc.
I started picking this stuff up for my girlfriend, but it became evident very quickly that this was really MY collection. And she's less than impressed that I've taken over her crafting room.
