AMT Model Kits

Anybody out there got a clue who owns this now? I searched on the web and cant find a thing.
Im about to buy the reissue of the Enterprise kit from the 60s/70s ( I built one as a kid, well my dad built it mostly!). I was curious if they are reissueing these or another company. I recently got the AMT/ERtl Alien kit which was horrible, very very very ill fitting model. So bad I had to buy another and make one good model.
Anyhow anyone know about them, or about the Enterprise reissue let me know...........

Polar Lights carries the reissue and has license for most of Star Trek's stuff right now. They had a booth at Wonderfest this year. You would have LOVED IT!

Are they still using the Polar Lights name? The head company is called Round 2! toys...formerely the guys who ran Playing Mantis.

Everything at the convention promoted the Polar Lights name so I would have to say that is still the case.

I'm certainly glad Round 2 picked up AMT and Polar Lights and kept them as brands, I already pre ordered the Spock kit and the Mystery U.F.O.

I usually try not to pre order stuff but I've been wanting these two kits for a long, long time

I have been trying to find if the new company was going to put out thier 1966 Nova and which version but each hobby shop here gives me a different story and cant even tell me who owns AMT either.

I am very interested in that Kit or one like it that would allow me to name it something else with a different Hull number.

Anyone who can get me a STTOS or a STII era ship, lights not necessary, with a Custom Name and Hull number, please contact me. Thank you.

I guess if I had skills I could just paint on the name and Hull number I want but it would be cool if they gave you enough letters and numbers to do this with the kit.

I believe the TOS kit still comes with decals for 12 different starships? I think the Cult TV Man web-site sells different decal kits for the movie era ships?
