    Super Hero Power Shields

YouTube - 1976 Funstuff Spiderman Power Shield

Seems like a cheap and stupid gimmick now, a disc launcher with a printed cardboard shield attached, but back then I loved it. I had the Batman one I think, and my friend had Spidey.

This Heroes World ad is totally deceptive. It would have been cool if you could launch the whole shield.

I never even heard of that toy. I would have had fun with it as a kid

"Stand back Robin, while I fire the Bat-Propellers from my crotch!"

          "Holy phalic projectiles Batman!"

I'd never seen an actual one of these before. I did see the ad, and assumed the whole thing launched. Heroes World was good at deceiving young 'uns. And the Kubert School helped them!!!

You mean an ad in a 60's/70's comic book would lie?? GASP!

I guess that's why those X-Ray glasses never worked properly!!

While they were probably a let down I love toys like this.

Maybe not the whole shield, but anything involving projectiles usually went over pretty with boys in the 70's. Heck, with boys of any decade.

Pretty sure it was only Funstuf but then again Denys Fisher put out a lot of the same toys as Funstuf.
