    MR ACTION is the MAN

During the 1970s if you liked GIJOE then Mr. Action was the man. It was very hard to get any military equipment for Gijoes in 1970s but Mr. Action was there with Guns, dynamite, grenades, messkits, helmets, and tons more. Mr Action was produced by LJN all through the 1970s, in at least 4 countries.
Often Mr Action items could be bought with pocket change by a child with only a $1
LJN was very prolific with Mr Action toy line, they made Action Compact Vehicles, Deluxe Adventure sets, single Uniform sets, and figures. These were sold in stores like K-mart and many mail order catalogs of the period.
See Mego Museum for another pic.
LJN first started with Action Outfits before coming out with Mr. Action concept. I fondly remember the back of the box which showed all 12 outfits dressed on a GIJOE SOTW figure but with then mod sideburns. It cracks me up that the peace symbol is upside down on tha box! Enough talk here's some pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Basic figures: 2 types bearded and non bearded

Deluxe COWBOY Uniform set with card board Diaorama.

Yeah, I see this stuff a lot on my travels, a great value for kids and I had a lot of it when I was younger. Here is a set I got by accident once.

Ebay seller sent it by mistake, then told me to keep it.

What made Mr. Action so cool is the fact that he had guns.
          Here are some of mine.....

and some of my KO figures...

Tommy Gunn , Fighting Yank (70s) Fighting Yank (60s) and Mr. Action .....
I need a bearded Mr. Action if anyone has one to sell.

and here is a better look at the Jungle Station.

I am a big fan of this toy line. My mom would buy 3 sets easily instead of 1 GI Joe set at TG&Y... Christmas of '72 was the year of Mr. Action.

Campus Casual is still one of my favorites since childhood The 2 best 1970s Sci-Fi rifles came from Mr Action. The one with ATV vehicle and the one that came with Helicopter are classic.

We can't forget the classic BIG JIM inspired green tracksuit. In the 1970s everyone was wearing tracksuits including Mr Action

              Sweet Deal Brian!

Knock-offs were a nice augment to the GI Joe footlocker back in the day.
