Da-Dun! Da-Dun! Nora Flynn from Imperial Toys cuddles their new inflatable version of the Shark from "Jaws" Imperial made a lot of wonderful rack merchandising and is still in business today.

The Future is Fantastic! A representative from Saalfields shows off their latest offering, based on the new sicence fiction series "Space:1999" to the buyer from Bradlees. I need to review that for colouring book theatre....

Mort Liebman displays his Star Trek record, one of the hottest items in the toy field. This is the power records booth and I am drooling! Check out those Planet of the Apes and G.I. Joe store displays, amazing.

I just love seeing older pictures of vintage toys. Neat stuff as always.

Great pictures. Its great to see how they used to get these toys to market. The process has REALLY changed.

My favorite has to be that Power Records booth. I think being in there would be as close to being ensconced in my toy past I could get, sitting surrounded by items I used to (and still) drool over!

I will add how the first shot reminds how kick-butt Joe's vehicles and accessories are. Their size alone made them incredible to play with.

I had that Star Trek album. Hey, if you want more pages from the '72 Imperial catalog, let me know.

Yep, another Power Records fan here. Isn't that a Marvel display right in the center? I'd love to see one of the Monster displays if there was one!

That figure in the center does look a lot like Spidey.

In this day and age it's hard to wrap your head around Wizard of Of getting a toyline aimed at kids based on a movie released 35 years prior in a non-collectors market.

Can we chalk that up to Colour Television? I remember it was such a big event whenever it ran on TV in the seventies as a kid.

I still have that Space 1999 coloring book. A few of the pages were scribbled on and a few of the cut and paste puzzels were done. I just couldnt bring myself to toss it.

That Power Records booth is nuts. They were a huge chunk of my younger childhood, just like Mego. I'd have been in hog heaven.

SMDM toys came out the same year, but I don't see any Kenner representation.
