Kitchen Tables of the Past

Any of these look familiar? My grandparents had #3 in their apartment, which was fine by me because it was like we were eating on "Star Trek". This trek motif worked well, as the living room was covered in a "space age" plastic and they were Scottish.

I'd definitely rock #'s 3 and 4

My grand parents had table #1 only the chairs they had were not as hideous as those that are shown in the above picture. I ate many of meals at that table. I still have one of their other tables. I hope to move it into my new building once it is completed. Right now it is stored in my garage. I like to see vintage stuff like this. Good times! Keep those pictures coming. Thanks!

I wish I had a pic of my Gram's set. It had the swivel chairs like #3 but they were all black vinyl and shaped quite like the Star Trek chairs.

Luckily my parents always liked furnishing our house with antique furniture, so I was spared having to eat at tables and chairs like that. It's funny, when I look at family photos from the 70's, the hairstyles and clothes date the photos, but the furniture doesn't. I think my grandparents may have had something like the above in their kitchen though.

#3 really has a Trek vibe to it, but I'll pass on the others, especially #1 and 2

We still use a blue laminate and chrome 50's dinette set! Belonged to my wifes grandmother.



Gotta keep my eyes open for #3 there.

Use to have chairs like the one in 2 but in a different color.

I totally remember the Set that we had when I was growing up. It had a floral pattern and it was laminated. It was pretty ugly
