If you were given the chance...

To go back between the years of 1973-1978 for 1 day with the chosen years currency of course, given the chance to buy 10 of your favorite toys from your chosen time period, what would you bring back? What year, what toys??No E-Bay here just the cheap price tags from back in the day. This should be interesting..

for me 10 toys and 24 hrs wouldn't be enough but that would be the rules of the time travel,i would go back to 1978 and look on the pegs/shelves for the birth of these toys in mint condition.

    Jawa plastic cape
    ben kenobi DT saber
    Vader DT saber
    12 inch boba fett
    battlestar galactica cylon
    Mego elastic superman and batman
    Mego nubia 12 inch
    Mego Queen Hippolyte
    Shogun warriors Godzilla
    A box of Kiss cards

I am sure this should be very entertaining to see what everyone has chosen.

This is a tough one for me to answer.....So many good things to be had....

For me it would mostly depend on what the plastic cape Jawa is going for these days. I have no idea when it comes to the value. Other wise strictly Mego. I would look for HTF variations first such as: Circle Suit Spidey, Silver Soldier Ape and etc. Providing that those variations were not obtainable at that time I would go for just the basic figures such as. (just off the top of my head)

    2 - MOC Invisible Girl
    2- MOC Conan
    2- MOC Green Arrow
    2 - MOC Cat Woman
    2 - MOC The Thing

That would be my 10 choices.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Too much space. Need more toys!

I would either go back to '73 and get 4 RC bats in the box, 4 RM Robins and 2 Aquamen or back to '76 and get ten of the nicest boxes of the Mission to Gamma VI playsets. For any of those I would keep one of each for myself and then sell the rest so I'd have enough to buy something else from a year I couldn't visit
      It's all good!

I'd head for 1977 and grab five carded Iron Mans and five carded Green Goblins.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I'd have to got to K-Mart and pick up: Shazam, Batgirl, W.W., Supergirl, Catwoman and then go pick up a set of Teen Titans and a Batcycle.

I would head back to probably, 1973. Pick up a slew of the first release Megos, and anything I could find from Marxs Best of the West toy line.

I'm sure during my perusal of the stores, I would find a few other toy knick knacks to load in the time machine as well.

I would also have to stop by the old "Red Grille" restaurant in the old Woolco store (well...new then) for a root beer and a chocolate long john donut....or fries with gravy. that was a tradition back in those days!

                      1973

                      I'd head for 1972/73, find a Kresge or K-Mart, and select 10 Kresge-carded WGSHs!
                      -RC Batman
                      -RM Robin
                      -Aquaman
-Superman w/large "S" (and hopefully one on the back of his cape)
                      -Captain America
                      -Spider-Man (circle suit if possible)
                      -Supergirl (silkscreen)
                      -Wonder Woman (silkscreen)
                      -Batgirl (silkscreen)
                      -Catwoman (silkscreen w/blue leggings)

Alternately, I'd try like crazy to round up several Solid Box heroes:
                      -RM Robin x 3
                      -RC Batman x 3
                      -Aquaman x 3
                      -Superman x 2
