    Batman

Love these Corgi's. This is the Rare Matte Version from 1966! (note the satin paint job) It was produced in 1966 for about 6 months in earliest production.

I have this one and thought I'd share. I don't belong to any Corgi or Batman sites but this is high on my list of collectibles. I found mine at a local antique store for $125 about 10 years ago. The cool thing is that the rare version doesn't get much publicity and looks way better than the glossy version that was produced for about 15 years. I've been told that they even used a dull satiny one for the earlier episodes in the series, which I never really noticed but this is one of the best batman items ever produced. Batman's suit is also lighter in the earlier production. In later versions his suit is much darker.

    Very nice model!

Great photos, Len! I agree, one of the best die cast cars ever made.
    It's all good!

Oh yeah, I seriously LOVE the Vintage Corgi Batmobiles!! They're really great!
I also like the modern Corgi ones too. I need to focus on them soon. Only have a few but they're really starting to haunt me now with getting more, ha ha.
