I get a lot of people asking on the message board who made this set, it's by Multiple Toys and they made several variations, one including a bunch of army men so you can reenact "Battle for the Planet of the Apes", it goes a little crazy with the scale but I doubt any kid complained.
This is another one of those toys that I need to track down and find, it's just so neat.
I HAD that playest as a child. I still have some of it. Darn! I wish I would have kept the box now. Neat picture! Brings back good memories. I love those apes!
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
I pretty much have all of my collection Boxed up and put away. I only have a few of my favorite pieces out. One of these days I'll display everything
Sammy
I have that one as well. I have the Sears mid size battle set complete. I mid size battle in full color box incomplete. I hope one day to have the full size battle set which I understand was a Sears Exclusive and the boxed set show in Post #1, which was the only one to be released with the ape wearing green clothes (Cornelius). The only set came with the two different mounted Soldier Apes(one with sword or shooting gun), Zira(female in blue) and Zauis(male in blue).
