I have two of them but both are loose and only one of them has the head shield visor. It was hard to play with because we had nothing of that size for him to attack except the shogun warriors. Also you could see the Alien looked kind of delicate and that it was the type of plastic where if he fell four feet to a hard floor he might break apart.

The second one I picked up I found at an antique shop and they probably had no idea what they had because he was only $8.00 (with the head shield as well)

This is one toy I've wanted since I was a kid but never managed to get. He was at the very top of my Christmas 1979 wish list. Did I get one? No! A year later they were clearing them out at Zellers (Canadian department store chain) for $9.99 each. I saw it in a flyer and begged my mom to drive me there so I could get one. Her response: "You're getting too old to be buying toys". Ack! Of course I never let her forget the fact that I could have gotten a toy for $10 which now would cost me about $500.00. But I don't really think she feels as bad about that as much as she should.

Zellers near me didn't carry him. I only ever saw it at Hobby Lobby and I begged for it. No way. lol

I purchased two a few years ago and sold them later eBay. I always kicked myself for doing that...so I just purchased another one on eBay just a few minutes ago. Yeahhh!!!!

Not to change the subject...but remember the guy in Toy Story 2 that cleaned Woody and, made sure his paint looked right...do those guys really exit?..and if so can someone direct me to his website. The Kenner Alien has a tendency to get loose and not want to stand. I want to build an army of these guys and I want to restring them if I can, check the paint under the dome, maybe replace cracked domes.

He makes lots of repro toy parts (but I don't see any Kenner Alien parts).

I did some searching and found website (which now I can not find) that makes replacement domes and parts for the 1979 Kenner Alien. I e-mailed the guy.

This was his reply.

WE HAVE ALL THE PARTS AS WELL AS RESTORE THEM . THAT'S WHY WE HAVE THE PARTS. - [email protected]

I remember I purchased a dome from him years ago and it was high quality stuff. (A liitle stiff at $50.00 a dome now.) I may have to give him a test run with my Kenner Alien to see how well he restores him back to his original condition. I will let you guys know how it works out.
