    Your Biggest Regrettable Toy Trades

Ever do a trade and come to regret it later.
    Perhaps even YEARS later.
    I have a few.
    My biggest one is ....

About 10 years ago on a fleamarket I found a Star Wars MOC Sandperson -12 back.
    Card was really nice.

The guy had a $6.00 price tag on it.
I thought this MUST be a mistake.
    Sure enough, he wanted $6.00.
I paid quickly and got out fast

I'm not much of a Star Wars guy so my first thought was what am I going to trade it for.

At the time I was into Playmates Trek.
I wound up trading away my Sandperson for a set of Where No Man Has Gone Before - Playmates Scotty and Sulu (Spencer exclusives).

To this day, it still pains me even thinking about it.

    How bout you ?
    Got any horror stories ?

I had a batman suit with canvas trunks. I got it from Sean G several years ago who listed it as having nylon trunks. I traded it off thinking it was no big issue. Several years later, I read where Imp was doing flips over the find. And I thought well, dummy, you should have kept that suit.

I actually have never traded any of my toys. I have given quite a bit to charity. I also let my Sister have some of my Toys but I'm really happy with everything that I've kept. The only thing that I have ever traded have been Comics and Cards

When we first got married and bought our first house,I guess other things were more important than toys. There was an add in the paper, somebody wanting to buy StarWars toys.I called him up and sold all I had from when I was a kid.The money was well needed back then, just getting started together and needing other things.I always kinda hated doing that though. At least the megos remained. Thanks for bringing back a sore memory

I never traded but I did some time ago bought a Larger mego type figure in black outfit with a wide grey strip across his chest, It was the guy from LOGANS RUN movie, I think I paid like $5 for it about a decade and a half ago, I was on Ebay and couldnt find it, I travelled the net and I found John Bonavita's site, I asked him about how much is this figure worth as I wanted to sell it, John told me it was worth alot, it at the time looked like a Logans Run prototype, " I still have my pics somewhere on a computer.
He offered m a very pretty penny for it and even offered to give me a lil more money to delivere it to him.
As we met there was a light mist type rain going on and as I got out to hand him the figure, John put it in his coat and leaned in the truck so it not get wet,,,( I swear to another person, it would have looked like a drug deal going down). John was fantastic, He paid me and now the figure is on his site, I wish he gave me a lil credit on his site though. I will have to find the pics.
But I tell ya, I wish I still had that figure as my collection has really grown. I will upload them someday.

I just recently sold a 1960's vending card featuring some of the marvel super-heroes. The card itself is going to be featured in an upcoming Marvelmania collectables guide, but unfortunately I encountered some unanticipated expenses this winter and had to come up with cash in a relatively short time frame. Probably the only deal I regret as of yet. I did make a nice profit on the item and it is now a part of an amazingly extensive collection, but it is truly an item that I may never find again...

For me it would have to be selling 15 MOC Megos 2 sets FF MOC ,
2 Spiderman MOC, Batman, 2 HULKS MOC, 2 POTA, 2boxed Megos and tons of other MIP items. My now ex wife( I have since remarried 8 years ago) hated all toys so nothing could be displayed in the house and so sat in Boxes for years. Out of frustartion I sold off tons of stuff, why have it if you can't enjoy it?
