    Dr. Steel Trading Card

Card #19 is Big Jim's "greatest challenge" Dr. Steel. I still remember seeing the commercial for the first time as a kid, I was in my parents room watching Gene Roddenberry's "Planet Earth" on the black and white one Saturday afternoon when it aired. Big Jim had an enemy? He has a silver hand and dragon tatoo? I need this!

I pretty much ran to my mother that instant and proclaimed my love for Dr Steel. Upon actually seeing him on a store shelf however, my mother denied me the good Doctor because he was bald and had a tattoo. A few months later, I was allowed a "Torpedo fist", a man with an eye patch, a wooden arm and a tattoo on his hand. Even at five, I wanted to point out my mother's hypocrisy but figured she'd return it to the store if I said anything and Torpedo Fist was really cool so I just treated it as if I had somehow fooled her.

Ok. Orphans! Listen to Ignacio. I know it is fun to wrestle. A nice piledrive to the face... or a punch to the face... but you cannot do it. Because, it is in the Bible not to wrestle your neighbour.

Awesome card! Nice job, Brian! My Dr. Steel no longer has a shiny hand. It split right down the middle and I had to perform a little emergency surgery w/ a normal hand

Very cool card. Looking forward to getting it. I never had any of the Big Jim figures as a kid but they would be real easy to start collecting today. Gonna have to check out that forum.

                          Hi Brian...
                          I loved Dr.Steel, I owned almost 4 or 5 of this figure!
When the tatoo faded, immediatly I asked my father to buy another one!
When successively, Torpedo Fist arrived, I loved it also...but at that time I had some problems with my healt and I was a child, and I'm more fall in love for this last figure.
I loved the Big Jim figures who had a bad character...bald and tatoo one and eye patch other...WOWWW!
In Europe Dr.Steel had some issues, open hands, one chrome open hand and one grip, two grip hands. In Italy isn't arrived this last one with only 2 grip hands but it's very horrible.
Also in Italy, Dr.Steel showed like a Big Jim enemy in almost all the ads...I LOVE DR.STEEL AND TORPEDO FIST!!!
