    Hmmmm....

HAD....? I got tons. Back during the early 80's every hobby shop in town had tons of weird Japanese model robots, and they were pretty cheap. So me and the gang used to stock up. I got about 500 or so still.... SOME of 'em are even built! My faves are the original Gundam kits from the 70's, and the Hasegawa Technical series.

....and one of these days I'm gonna finish my Mego 8" scale Destroid....

When I was little I use to have the battery powered robots that had their chest open up and guns pop out ablazing. Loved them. I don't have them anymore, but I would like to track them down if I had more information on them. I have a number or robot characters like R2-D2, C-3PO and such, but my very, very favorite robots are the B-9 (Lost in Space) Robot by Trendmasters as well as the Robby the Robot they made as well. Never seen a cooler set of Robots than those. The funny thing is, I got both of them years ago at a KayBee Toy discount outlet for $9.99 each! Blew my mind so I bought extras because I KNEW they would be worth alot some day. Still don't understand why they didn't sell better. I also picked up Trendmasters Jupiter 2 which rocks. That puppy is going for some money now too. Isn't it interesting how some things, no matter how cool, don't become desired until after they go off market? It's just amazing to me.

I was into the Micronaut robots like Microtron and Biotron.

Always wanted toy versions of Robby the Robot and the Lost in Space Robot.

Love the Shogun Warriors and Godaikins.

Old School Transformers are cool too.

Still remember the schoolyard discussions on whether or not Star Wars "Droids" were "Robots" or something else entirely.

When I was a kid I had the Remco Lost in Space robot -- red/silver verson

I used to have a battery operated tin robot too.
It stood about 12" high, walked and light up.
It was mosty black and was suppose to be a spaceman in a spacesuit.

I still collect robots whenever I see a cool looking windup, battery, or just plain fun robot I grab it, I also have plenty of droids and other licensed bots. I have fond memories of my Shogun Warriors as well!

I often thought about building a little shrine for my bots, just never seem to find the time.

@MIB41, I picked up B-9 and Robby at a KayBee Discount store as well, those are two really cool bots. Was your Robby the one that had the wired remote?
