Oh my, do I love this toy. What with it's shooting disks, ejectable shuttle and the fact that it's a toy first and not some franklin mint piece. Sometimes, I think I appreciate something like this more than an exact replica.
I always wanted either that or the Space:1999 Cargo Eagle, but by the time I had saved money to buy one, they were usually gone. Then Star Wars came out, yada, yada..
Back in the late 80's on a feamarket, I found the Dinky Enterprise, the cargo Eagle and the blue Thunderbird-2 all being sold by the same guy.
I still remember him charging and me paying $10.00 for all of them together "because they're metal"
My grandmother bought this for me and the Klingon ship at an Odd Lots store when I was a kid and I loved them. The Enterprise progressively fell apart, but I still have the Klingon Battle Cruiser and my kids love it now.

My situation is exactly the opposite. I had both the enterprise and klingon dinkys too but the klingon cruiser got run over by the family car. I still have my enterprise and it's complete which is amazing considering all the play we got out of it, JOHN
I have the box and the Enterprise with the shuttle, but none of the disks that came with it. The neat thing about mine is that there is a tiny part on the nacelle where someone had touched the paint in the factory before it was completely dry, so there is the impression of someone's finger print in the paint.
I had (still have) the Enterprise/D-7 two pack....great toy. I still remember getting in trouble after my Dad found out I used an entire package of antacid tablets we had in the medicine cabinet as ammunition for the "torpedo" launchers. I was real anal about losing the plastic ones, but these were disposable, and me and my buddy spent an entire afternoon running around the backyard firing Tums at each other.
I still regret cutting up the box to make the lame "alien planet playset" and communicator.
Hey thats a good idea cap. I have no discs left in mine either but now I will play again! As far as being worthless I must disagree because my is from when I was 11 and had it ever since and everytime I look at it the memories are priceless. I still bet a nice one would get better than 40 bucks on ebay. tc.
