    Vintage Commercial Friday

I've uploaded a couple of commercials from volume 2 of our DVD "70s Toy Explosion"(thanks so much to everybody who ordered BTW) and thought it'd be cool to share them today. It's fun aaaaand so much less time consuming than scanning an actual catalogue.

This commercial for the Barbie Star Traveller is of interest of to me mainly because I swear this is Judy Strangis from "Electra Woman and Dyna Girl".

The second commercial I chose is for Mork and Mindy toys, I'm not the biggest Robin Williams fan in the world (in fact I'm jokingly trashing him on my other blog today) but I really remember "Mork Mania" fondly. I still want to buy that Egg Ship figure set.

One day you will be mine eggship....

I had the Mork egg-ship set (a gift from my grandmother when she came to visit); I think I still have that in storage. I remember Mork didn't have any eyes painted, so it was just flesh-colored lids. I played some with it and merged it for a while with my other figures in my normal mix-and-match fashion, but eventually I kept it apart. It was hard to imagine Wyatt Earp (of Legends of the West) chatting with Mork.

Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.

The stuffed Mork doll looks like a combination of Dustin Hoffman and Worzel Gummidge

The most Mork I used to have were the rainbow suspenders an khaki pants. Now I also have the Colorforms, too.
